Jellyroll Racers

Our last meet-up featured a jellyroll race and a cookie exchange! We also had a private viewing of Magic Mike while we stitched. Lots of laughs and a whole lot of fun! We also had a jellyroll exchange, I think it's safe to say we loved every minute of this meeting!

First Finish: Nina

Very Close Second Finish: Tonya

Coming In 3rd / Late Start: Amy

Great job ladies! All of the quilts are going to be fabulous! Our next meeting will feature applique techniques.

Our first meeting!

When we met up we decided that our first meeting would largely be for discussion about what we wanted to do in the next couple meetings. We discussed our guild symbol and decided on a silver pendant design, we discussed a holiday swap for December's meeting, and of course, we talked quilts.

Nina brought a stack to show off. She was also the only one who brought a recent finish. It sparked conversations about long arming and quilt care tips. Nina was working on her Christmas quilt so she could send it off to her new long-armer (that Tonya found for her!)

Tonya brought a stack of fabrics to begin a new baby quilt and spent much of her time pressing and cutting but, she did finish up this cute little square to show off!

The food served was pita & hummus, chips & salsa provided by Tonya and ice cream sundaes, Starbuck's tea & pop provided by Nina.

Next meeting will feature a jellyroll swap & jellyroll race quilt sew-a-long!
